P.E.I. Rocket News Release
The PEI Rocket announced today that they have acquired to rights to 17 year old, Bradley MacDonald (1992-06-14) in exchange for Brandon Street.
MacDonald (5'10" - 184 lbs) was originally a 2nd round draft pick (30th overall) in the 2008 QMJHL entry draft by Gatineau and has been playing with the Halifax Lions in the MJAHL this season. He started the year with Victoriaville, but suffered a shoulder injury early in the season. In 11 games with Victoriaville last year, Bradley had 4 goals and 3 assists. Bradley is from Dartmouth, NS and played Midget AAA with the Dartmouth Subways.
18 year old Brandon Street will be heading to Victoriaville in the one-for-one trade. "We like the fact that Bradley is only 17 years old and has some very good offensive upside", said President & Governor, Serge Savard Jr.
It is unknown at this time whether MacDonald will join the team immediately or remain in Halifax with the Lions. More information is expected shortly.
