JackHammers Explain Controversial Billboard

JOLIET, IL- Over the weekend the Joliet JackHammers unveiled their newest billboard, located on the south side of I-80 just before the Chicago Street exit. The advertisement reads "Buy JackHammers Tickets Today" signed God, to support the Orange Crush's latest ticket sales promotion. The JackHammers are giving a portion of ticket sales to the customer's worship place or charity of choice for purchases made in the month of December.
"The Joliet area consists of many deep rooted faith based communities and this December we wanted to show our support for those organizations" said JackHammers General Manager Jamie Toole. "While some may view the billboard as controversial, our intention was never to offend anyone but rather to show the JackHammers consistent and unwavering commitment to our community. If we have offended anyone with this promotion we sincerely apologize and we hope that you recognize the JackHammers effort to support the faith based organizations in the area."
