Joliet JackHammers News Release
JOLIET, IL - Beginning Monday, October 26th, the Joliet JackHammers will bring a noon whistle to downtown Joliet - in the form of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." Baseball's anthem will be played from the Silver Cross Field sound system at 12 o'clock every day, Monday through Friday.
"As far as we know, Joliet has never had a noon whistle," said Sean Keegan, Director of Promotions and Community Relations for the JackHammers. "'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' is a song everyone knows and loves and hearing it will hopefully keep people in the summer spirit all winter long."
LOOSE GRAVEL: The JackHammers will be hosting a "Halloween Hoe Down" at Silver Cross Field on Wednesday, October 28 from 6-9pm. Families are invited out to the park to enjoy trick or treating, a scavenger hunt, photo booth, and much more as the entire JackHammer staff will be dressed up in Old West attire. The event is FREE and open to the public.
