Gems Pare Roster Down To Thirty Eight In Preperation For Training Camp

The Dayton Gems have announced today that in anticipation of training camp beginning next week at Hara Arena the Dayton Gems have paired their training camp roster down to thirty eight men.

"We have had some great skates this week in anticipation of training camp," Director of Hockey Operations Guy Trottier said. "We've seen what these guys are made of and know that this is going to be a tough team to make."

The Gems have released the following players from their tryout contracts: Philip Briseule, Amory Mudrewich, Ryan Huggett, Panu Poutanen, Maxime Mathieu, Jeff McDowell, Aaron Lafavre and Matt Piva.

The Gems will practice today and tomorrow and then take two days off before opening training camp next week at Hara Arena. A complete list of times and dates for training camp is located at daytongems.com. The Gems will enter training camp with a roster of thirty two players. The Dayton Gems play two home exhibition games during the training camp on October 8 and 14th.
