
Rascals to Face Crushers in Championship Series

River City Rascals News Release
O'FALLON, MO - The Rascals finally have an opponent in the Frontier League Championship Series after Lake Erie defeated Kalamazoo 6-2 in ten innings last night in game five of their best of five series. River City will open up game one on Thursday, September 17th at T.R. Hughes Ballpark with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch.
Game two follows on Friday, September 18th in O'Fallon at 7:05 p.m. before a travel day on Saturday. The series returns for game three in Lake Erie on Sunday, September 20th. Game four will be on Monday, September 21st if necessary in Avon, Ohio. Both game times in Lake Erie have yet to be announced. If game five is needed, both teams will return to T.R. Hughes Ballpark for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch on Wednesday, September 23rd.
The Rascals swept the Windy City ThunderBolts in the Frontier League Divisional Series with a 6-2 victory Friday night in Crestwood, Illinois. River City went 4-2 this season against Lake Erie, including a three game sweep at All-Pro Freight Stadium in Lake Erie. The Crushers took two of three from the Rascals in O'Fallon.
