
Twins Announce Fall League Invitees

Fort Myers Mighty Mussels News Release
FORT MYERS, FL (August 27, 2009) - The Arizona Fall League will have a distinct Fort Myers Miracle flavor. Six of the seven Minnesota Twins Minor Leaguers representing the organization played with the Miracle this season.
Current Miracle infielder Chris Parmelee and pitcher Steve Hirschfeld will be joined by New Britain pitchers Alex Burnett, Mike McCardell and Spencer Steedley and infielder Steve Singleton. The other selection outfielder Rene Tosoni starred with the Miracle last season and is currently with Double-A New Britain.
Miracle trainer Larry Bennese will join the players as trainer for the Mesa Solar Sox. The team will be managed by current Florida Marlins third-base coach Bo Porter.
The 18th annual Arizona Fall League season begins on Oct. 13 and runs through Nov. 19 with the Rising Stars' game on Nov. 7 and the championship game set for Nov. 21. Every game can be followed live on Gameday on MLB.com and MLBFallBall.com.
