Windsor Spitfires News Release
(Windsor) The Windsor Spitfires are proud to announce that the team has renewed its broadcast agreement with AM800 CKLW for the next three seasons. Fans will be able to listen to all Spitfires regular season and playoff games on AM800 with Play-by-Play Announcer Mike Miller and pre-game shows at all Spits home games with Steve Bell and Paul McDonald. The agreement is an extension of the initial three year deal that saw Spitfire games return to AM800 in 2006.
"The Windsor Spitfires are proud to renew their outstanding partnership with AM800, bringing the excitement of Spits hockey to thousands of fans throughout Windsor and Essex County. AM800 offers first-class, professional coverage of not only our games but also with all breaking events in our community and we are thrilled to have them back on board for three more seasons. We're looking forward to hopefully making more history with AM800 calling the action," said Windsor Spitfires Director of Business Development Steve Horne.
"I'm really happy AM800 has renewed our broadcast agreement with the Spits, especially coming off their Memorial Cup winning season. It's a perfect match, having the community hockey team on the community radio station," commented AM800 Program Director Keith Chinnery, "the talent and experience of the broadcast crew - Mike Miller, Steve Bell and Paul McDonald matches the talent on the ice. Along with the game broadcasts, AM800 will air a pre-game show before every game and we have special promotional events planned throughout the year."
