
Columbus Signs Center Trevor Frischmon

Syracuse, NY (July 3, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced that the Columbus Blue Jackets have signed center Trevor Frischmon to a one-year two-way NHL-American Hockey League contract. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Frischmon, 27, was the only Crunch player to appear in all 80 games for the club last season, collecting five goals, 20 assists and 57 penalty minutes. In parts of the past three seasons with Syracuse, Frischmon has skated in 172 contests and accumulated 10 goals, 38 assists and 105 penalty minutes.
In addition, he appeared in all 13 playoff games for the Crunch during the 2007-08 Calder Cup playoffs, contributing one goal, two assists and 10 penalty minutes. His lone goal was the series-clinching tally in overtime of Game Six of the North Division Semifinals vs. Manitoba.
A native of Ham Lake, Minnesota, Frischmon spent four years at Colorado College (WCHA) before turning pro, appearing in 160 games, notching 30 goals, 36 assists and 121 penalty minutes. Frischmon served as an alternate captain during his senior year with the Tigers.
