Morin-Soucy Under Contract

Montreal, May 12, 2009 - Montreal Alouettes' Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp announced today that non-import defensive end Nickolas Morin-Soucy has signed a three-year contract plus an option and is expected at training camp this June.
Morin-Soucy (6'2'', 240 lbs) was drafted by the Alouettes in the second round, 23rd overall, in the 2009 CFL Canadian Draft. He played eight games in 2008 with the Montreal Carabins, recording 35 tackles, seven sacks, one knockdown, two recovered fumbles and a forced fumble. He also scored a touchdown on a 53-yard punt return. He is 24.
The Alouettes' training camp will begin this June 7 at the Campus du Fort St-Jean in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
