
Aeros assign center Morten Madsen to Danish national team

HOUSTON, Texas - Houston Aeros General Manager Tom Lynn today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has assigned center Morten Madsen to the Danish National Team for the 2009 IIHF World Championships.
Madsen, 22 (1/16/87), will report to the team as they prepare for the championships held in Switzerland starting on Friday, April 24. A native of Rodovre, Denmark, Madsen had 22 points (6-16=22) in 56 regular season games for Houston in 2008-09. Over two seasons, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound center has tallied nine goals and 33 assists in 106 games played for the Aeros.
The Aeros host the Peoria Rivermen tonight in Game Five of the West Division Semifinals at Toyota Center at 7:05 p.m. The series is tied 2-2 and it is the last game in the series at Toyota Center. Call (713) 974-PUCK for tickets or visit AEROS.com.
