Millrats Clinch the Atlantic Division Title

(Quebec City, Canada): The Manchester Millrats got out of the gates quickly and never looked back as they defeated the Quebec Kebs, 116-79, and clinched the Atlantic Division title.
Manchester applied pressure early and led 28-12 after one quarter of play. They kept up the intensity and brought a 56-32 lead into the half.
It was a well balanced effort by the Millrats as they saw seven players score in double figures. Al Stewart led them with 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Sam Carey contributed 13 points and 8 rebounds, while Alex Owumi had 13 points and 5 rebounds. Desmond Ferguson finished with 12 and Marlowe Currie tallied 11. Both Lincoln Glass and Charles Mason netted 10 to round out the Millrats who finished in double figures.
Quebec was paced by Jean-Philippe Morin with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Alfred Neale had 17, while Daryll Hill finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists.
With the victory, Manchester moves to 14-4 on the season. The second place Vermont Frost Heaves, currently at 10-6, could potentially finish with a 14-6 record. However even if the Millrats and Frost Heaves finished tied at the end of the season, Manchester would win the division title based on their 3-1 head-to-head advantage against Vermont throughout the regular season.
The Millrats have about a week off before heading to Chicago to face the Throwbacks next Sunday. Earlier this season, they defeated Chicago at home by a score of 124-105.
