
Berti And Turner Returned To Gwinnett

Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Saturday that the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League have returned forward Adam Berti and defenseman Brennan Turner on loan to the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators.
Berti, 22, has skated in 10 games with Rockford in 2008-09. The Blackhawks third round pick (#68 overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft has collected a goal and an assist with the IceHogs. Berti was recalled from Gwinnett on Jan. 15 and appeared in five games with Rockford during his second stint with the club this season chipping in an assist.
In six games with Gwinnett, Berti has two goals and three assists. The winger also appeared in 29 games with the now defunct Fresno Falcons (ECHL) notching three goals and six assists.
Turner, 22, was recalled from Gwinnett on Tuesday and played in one game with Rockford. In his 2008-09 IceHogs debut, the Winnipeg native marked his first career AHL assist against the Iowa Chops that night. Chicago's fifth round pick (#134 overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft has played five career games with Rockford including four last spring after his junior season at Yale University.
Prior to getting recalled to Rockford, Turner split time between Gwinnett and Fresno as well. The blue-liner has three helpers with the Gladiators in eight games and potted two goals and two assists in 29 contests with the Falcons.
Next Home Game: Friday. Feb. 13 vs. Peoria Rivermen: Rockford returns home at 7:30 p.m. The IceHogs come home after a 19 day hiatus to take on Rivermen. The first 1,500 kids to the game will receive an IceHogs Youth Jersey courtesy of Feldco Windows and Doors, FOX 39 and 104.9 FM, WXRX.
