Bridgeport Bluefish 2009 Schedule Released

(Bridgeport, CT - Nov. 14, 2008) - The Bridgeport Bluefish, a charter member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, today announced the release of their schedule for the 2009 season.
The 2009 schedule will include 140 games and features 70 home games at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard. The Bluefish will begin their season at home with a four-game series against the York Revolution on Thursday, April 23. Following the York series, Bridgeport will wrap up their opening homestand with a three-game set against the Camden Riversharks. The home schedule includes eleven weekend series. Game times have not been released.
Bridgeport will host the first battle with their cross-Sound rivals, the Long Island Ducks, in a three-game series beginning on Friday, May 8. Other significant dates include May 26, when the Bluefish will host the defending Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots for the first time in 2009 and June 21, when the York Revolution will be in town for a special Father's Day contest.
