SPOKANE, WA - It was a shootout today at Avista Stadium as the Spokane Indians came out on top with a 11-10 victory over the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in game two of the Northwest League Championship Series presented by Pizza Pipeline. The best-of-five game series is now tied at one win a piece.

Like game one, the Volcanoes got off to a hot start, scoring a run in each of the first three innings. Spokane answered in the bottom of the third with two runs of their own. The Indians opened the floodgates down the stretch, scoring a combined eight runs in the 6th, 7th and 8th innings. The Indians weren't the only ones to score down the stretch, as Salem-Keizer scored six runs in those innings.

The result was a 10-10 tie going into extra innings. After reliever Corey Young shut down the Volcanoes in the top of the 10th, Indians catcher Doug Hogan stepped up to bat and sent the ball over the Avista Stadium fence for a walk off home run to win the game.

The Indians finished the game with 15 hits. Designated hitter Eric Fry went 2 for 4 with one home run and three RBI. Hogan finished 1 for 2 with the solo home run. Second baseman Kyle Higgins went 1 for 3 and hit his first professional home run. Outfielder Jared Bolden had a double and three RBI.

Indians starter Martin Perez went four innings, giving up six hits and three runs, while fanning two. It was Young that picked up the victory, going 2.1 innings and giving up just one hit.

The Indians will travel to Salem-Keizer in Keizer, Ore. for the final three games of the Northwest League Championship Series beginning tomorrow against the Volcanoes.
