Snohomish County Explosion News Release
MONROE, Wash. - The Snohomish County Explosion Basketball Team will be traveling to Edmonton, Canada this weekend to compete against the Edmonton Chill of Alberta.
The Explosion will play a two-game series against the Chill on Friday, May 23 and Saturday, May 24. This is Edmonton's first year as a member of the International Basketball League (IBL).
"Both teams would like to win this weekend," said Brad Sturlaugson, General Manager of the Explosion. "Edmonton is coming off a four-game winning streak and we've won our last two games, so there's a lot on the line for both teams. There will be no easy wins this weekend."
Sturlaugson also announced that Jackie Jones has been given his release from the Explosion organization and 6'8" forward/center Bruce Cooper has been added to the roster for this weekend's trip to Edmonton.
Both games will be broadcast live on Sports Gaming Radio starting at 6:11pm (PST). To listen online, click on the Sports Gaming Radio link at EdmontonChill.com or visit the Explosion website at www.explosionbasketball.net and click on the "Listen Live !!" article.
