Dube, Weidlich To Coach Hockey Camp At LEC

LAREDO, TX- Laredo Bucks players Serge Dube and Steve Weidlich will be coaches at the Hockey Skills Camp May 16-18th at the Laredo Entertainment Center. There will also be a goalie coach on hand to work with all goalies who attend the camp.
The camp will be broken up into five different groups, learn to skate (kids), Mites & Squirts, Peewees & Bantams, learn to skate (adults), and Midgets & Adults. Complete schedule and prices are listed below.
Registration for the three day camp will be held on Wednesday May 14th from 6-9pm at section "D" of the LEC.
Dube is a six year Central Hockey League veteran and a three time All-Star. He is the Bucks all-time leader in regular season games played with 324. In his six seasons in the Gateway City Dube is among the team leaders in several categories. Dube has put up 71 goals, with 213 assists for 274 points, and was a key member of both of Laredo's President's Cup championship teams.
Weidlich has been with the team for six seasons as well, and has played in the most playoff games in team history with 90. Weidlich has scored 26 goals with 69 points for 95 points in his six seasons on the border.

Preparations for next season have already begun in the Bucks front office. Bucks season tickets for the 2008-09 campaign are now available starting at just $6.50 per game. The team will announce all of their 2008-09 ticket prices very soon, but call 718-BUCK(2825) now to reserve your tickets!!
**Bucky, Benway Host Accelerated Reader Ceremony at Sanchez/Ochoa**
Bucky and radio play-by-play announcer Bryan Benway hosted the Accelerated reader awards ceremony, to celebrate the importance of reading, Wednesday afternoon at Sanchez/Ochoa Elementary school.
Bucky and Benway were joined at the ceremony by representatives of the Laredo Heat and Laredo Broncos teams, as the theme of the award show was "All-star Readers".
Benway announced the winners of each award, while Bucky helped the crowd cheer and took pictures with the winners.
