Minnesota Wild Reassign Erik Reitz And Benoit Pouliot To Aeros

HOUSTON, Texas - Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned C/LW Benoit Pouliot (BEHN-wah, POO-lee-ott) and D Erik Reitz (REETZ) to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL). The Aeros are currently tied at one game apiece with Rockford in the best-of-seven West Division Semifinals, part of the 2008 Calder Cup Playoffs.
Pouliot, 21 (9/29/86), posted three points (2-1=3) in 11 regular season games with the Wild, while playing in one post-season game. Pouliot has 46 games played with Houston tallying 24 points (10-14=24). The Alfred, Ont., native was originally selected by the Wild in the first round (No. 4 overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
Reitz, 25 (7/29/82), skated in two playoff games with the Wild. Reitz played in 49 regular season games with the Aeros, leading the club with 26 assists and ranked fourth on the team in scoring with 34 points (8-26=34). The native of Detroit, Mich. Was originally selected in the sixth round (No. 170 overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by Minnesota.
