Sea Wolves Add Torry Gajda For 2007-08 Season

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced on Wednesday the signing of forward Torry Gajda.

The 5-9, 190-pound forward scored 33 points (10g, 23a) in 49 games as a rookie during the 2006-07 season, scoring eight goals and 17 assists in 33 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones and two goals and six assists in 16 games with the Pensacola Ice Pilots. A native of Westfield, Massachusetts, Gajda (GUY-duh) played four seasons at Providence College, scoring 37 goals and 41 assists in 135 games for the Friars.

"I'm glad to have Torry Gajda coming to the coast this season," states Sea Wolves head coach Steffon Walby. "Torry is an exciting player with offensive skill and speed down the wing who will have an opportunity to be a contributor for us every night."

"I reviewed my options, and really liked what I saw in Mississippi," said Gajda. "I've heard a lot of great things about the Biloxi-Gulfport region, and I'm looking forward to joining the Sea Wolves in the fall."
