Jacksonville Barracudas News Release
The Jacksonville Barracudas Hockey Club has announced that they have re-signed forward Ryan Webb, their leading scorer during the 2006-07 season.
"Ryan came a long way for us as a two-way player, and provided the team with an offensive spark almost every night," said Barracudas' Head Coach Rick Allain. "We're excited to have him back, and look forward to him assuming a leadership role this season."
Webb, 25, has suited up for the Barracudas for the last two seasons establishing himself as one of the Southern Professional Hockey League's top offensive forwards.
The 6-foot, 190-pounder from Roseville, MI scored 31 goals and 35 assists in 56 games during the regular season, and added six points in eight playoff games. In his first season with the Cudas, Webb finished the season with 46 points in 35 regular season games.
The signing of Webb means that the Barracudas have brought back three of the team's top-four scorers from the 06-07 season, joining forwards Jim Murphy and Patrick Doherty.
