
Real Cyr named the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week

Toronto - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Real Cyr of the Prince George Cougars is the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week after posting a 3-0-0-0 record along with a pair of shutouts, a 0.67 goals against average and .969 save percentage in three starts last week.
Cyr, a 19-year-old from Victoire, SK, started the week with a 25-save shutout performance that backed his team to a 3-0 win over the Regina Pats on November 21. He followed up with a 17-save shutout - his fourth of the year - in a 5-0 win over the Chilliwack Bruins on November 24 and finished the week with 18 saves in a 3-2 win over the on November 25.
John Murray of the Kitchener Rangers was the OHL's nominee after putting together a 1.93 goals against average and .930 save percentage in a pair of wins and Jean Phillipe Levasseur of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies was the QMJHL's nominee after posting a 2-0-0 record with a 2.68 goals against average an .930 save percentage.
Each week the CHL recognizes the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week and will present the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Year Award to the CHL's top netminder at the conclusion of the 2006-07 season.
