Arizona Sting News Release

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Arizona Sting Head Coach and General Manager Bob Hamley announced Friday the signing of defenseman Chris Seller to a one-year contract, pending league approval. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Chris is a huge part of our transition game and it was very important for us to re-sign him for the upcoming season," said Hamley. "He's one of the fastest players in the NLL and he's extremely dangerous at either end of the floor. We're looking forward to having him play a lot of minutes for us this year."

Last season, Seller tallied 8G-10A-18P in 15 games played with Arizona. The 29-year old led all NLL defenders with five short-handed goals in 2006. This past summer, Seller won a Gold Medal as a member of Team Canada at the World Lacrosse Championships in London, Ontario. The Richmond, BC native also won a Silver Medal in Perth, Australia in 2002 when the Canadians lost to Team U.S.A. in the Championship Game by a score of 18-15.

Originally signed as a free agent by the Buffalo Bandits prior to the 2000 season, Seller has registered 100 points (45G-55A) in 98 career games as a member of the Bandits, Anaheim Storm, and Arizona Sting. The 6'2", 195 lb. defenseman's most productive campaign came in 2004 when, as a member of the Storm, he scored 18 goals and dished out an octet of assists for 26 points in 16 games played.

The Arizona Sting is a professional indoor lacrosse team playing in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). Their home games are played at the Glendale Arena and their season runs annually from January-April. For more information, please visit www.ArizonaSting.com.
