DH Chad Gambill went 3-for-5 with a homerun and three RBI to lead Shreveport past Pensacola 8-1. LF Al Corbeil added two hits and an RBI of his own to the Sports attack. Starting pitcher Gerson Mercedes allowed just one run on six hits over six innings to pick up the win for Shreveport. Relief pitcher Aaron Cunningham pitched three scoreless innings to tally his second save of the year. SS Carlos Mendoza and 3B Trino Aguilar combined for four hits to lead Pensacola at the plate.

Fort Worth 8, Coastal Bend 0

Starting pitcher Cory Walters improved to 5-3 on the season after pitching a complete game shutout to lead Fort Worth past Coastal Bend 8-0. Walters allowed just six hits and struck out eight in the outing. 1B Jordan Foster led the Cats at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a double and two RBI. RF Carlos Adolfo added three hits of his own for the Fort Worth offense. Three different Coastal Bend hitters had two hits in the game to lead the Aviators offensively.

Lincoln 3, El Paso 2

HR: NONE

Lincoln pitcher Kyle Ruwe pitched two scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win and help the Saltdogs past El Paso 3-2. The win improves Ruwe's record to 3-1 on the season. Relief pitcher Jerrod Fuell picked up the save, his eighth of the year. CF Cory Harris went 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead Lincoln at the plate on a night when the Saltdogs got 13 hits and just three runs. Despite his team losing, El Paso starting pitcher Justin Abbott was effective, allowing just two runs over 6 2/3 innings.

Sioux City 17, Sioux Falls 8

HR: SC-Jorge Moreno (9), Ryan Gripp 2(3,4), Kevin Henry (9), Mike Richardson 2(4,5)

Sioux City pounded out six homeruns and 22 hits in all to rout the Sioux Falls Canaries 17-8. C Mike Richardson and 3B Ryan Gripp combined for six hits and eight RBI to lead the powerful Explorers offensive attack. LF Jorge Moreno and RF Kevin Henry each hit their 9th homerun of the season in the game as well. Starting pitcher Billy Keppinger picked up the win for Sioux City to improve to 3-3 on the season and relief pitcher Jason Howerton picked up his first save of the year. Despite losing the game, Sioux Falls had 15 hits with LF Chad Hermansen leading the way with three hits and two RBI.
