In 2003-04 he totaled 75 points in 39 regular season games then led the CHL playoffs in scoring with 20 points as the Bucks captured the President's Cup. He has helped the Bucks reach the President's Cup Finals each of the past two seasons.

"Every year there is a priority list and Brent was one of the top guys on my list that I wanted to have back," said Bucks head coach Terry Ruskowski. "He's the fastest skater in the league and he is more determined this year than ever to make us successful. If everyone follows his and the other veterans lead we'll have a good year. He has become part of the community and we are happy to have him back."

Cullaton, a 6'0" 220 pound forward, has been selected to the starting lineup for the Southern Conference All-Star team each of the last two years. He has captured the fastest skater award at the Skills Competition in both All-Star appearances.

"I really enjoy playing for the Bucks because we have great fans and tremendous support," Cullaton said. "We want to keep on winning here. My wife and I have made Laredo our home and we want the Bucks to be something the city is proud of."

Cullaton, who will be entering his 10th year playing professionally, played in his 600th pro game this past season. He has 598 career points, including 46 goals and 125 points with the Bucks.

He was selected as the Best Skater in the CHL in the 2004-05 CHL Best of the Best poll. As a playing assistant coach Cullaton will assist Ruskowski with recruiting.

Cullaton played college hockey at the University of Miami and graduated with a degree in Sports Medicine. He is currently employed as a golf professional at the Laredo Country Club.

The 2005-06 CHL regular season schedule will be released in July. Training camp for the Bucks will open the second week of October. The regular season is set to start on October 21st.
