Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce the signing of yet another player to the Storm family. Barry Schramm is a 63, 225 lbs. linebacker from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD. Schramm is originally from Winner, SD. During his career at DWU, Barry was named to the 2003 and 2004 Daktronics NAIA Football All-America Scholar team and awarded the Cheever Award, which is an award given to a football player from DWU based on football ability, academic ability, leadership, character, and involvement in campus life. He is also four time All-GPAC honoree in football. Barry is the type of player we love being apart of the Storm organization, not only is he a tremendous athlete, but more importantly, hes a great man, says Head Coach, Kurtiss Riggs.
The Storm (6-3) will host the Black Hills Red Dogs tomorrow night in the third of four meetings between the two teams this season. The Red Dogs are currently 1-8 after a big victory last weekend over the Omaha Beef, 44-34. The Storm are on roll after winning three straight games over Peoria, Black Hills, and a big overtime victory over the Evansville Bluecats, 49-42 last weekend. Saturdays game will take place at the Sioux Falls Arena with a 7:05 PM kickoff and doors opening at 6:00 PM. The night will be themed Beach Night, with Storm beach balls as the give-a-way. The nights sponsor will be Lloyd Companies and the St. Francis House of Sioux Falls will be the non-profit in attendance. The days festivities will start at 3 PM at Buffalo Wild Wings will a tailgate party featuring live music from the band Vermillion, food and drink specials, Lightning Girls, Ball Babes, and much, much more. Join the Storm players, coaches, Lightning Girls, and staff after the game at the post-game party at Champs in the Western Mall on 41st Street.
