Rockford's Michel Robinson named UHL Best Goaltender

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Wednesday that Rockford IceHogs goaltender Michel Robinson has been named the Southern Sports Supply 2004-05 UHL Best Goaltender as selected by the league head coaches, general managers, and members of the media.
The 22-year-old Montreal, Quebec native finished the regular season with a 33-22-9 record, a 2.47 goals against average, and a .915 save percentage. His 33 wins tied for second most in the UHL. He recorded seven shutouts which tied for the league lead. Robinson led all league goaltenders with 3,816 minutes played and was third with 1,683 saves.
The Rockford netminder also scored an empty net goal on December 29th, 2004 vs. Fort Wayne. He became only the fourth goaltender in UHL history to score a goal.
Robinson was selected as the starting goaltender for Team Mountain Dew at the 2005 Pepsi UHL All-Star Classic. He also earned Southern Sports Supply UHL Goaltender of the Week honors for week six of the regular season.
