Philadelphia Soul News Release
PHILADELPHIA â The Philadelphia Soul will make its debut on the smash hit reality series Real World Philadelphia tonight at 10 p.m. on MTV. The Real World, in its 15th season on MTV, is set in Philadelphia for the first time ever.
The show's seven principle characters were interns for the Soul's Community Relations department from May through August. Karamo, Landon, Melanie, MJ, Sarah, Shavonda and Willie assisted the team's "Soul Squad" with fan entertainment and promotions on game days and accompanied Soul players on appearances during the week. The group spent much of its summer building a new playground for Northern Home for Children and Family Services in Philadelphia.
The cast members met with Soul co-owners Jon Bon Jovi and Craig Spencer on a number of occasions and helped further the organization's goal of enriching the lives of under-privileged children, teens and adults in the city of Philadelphia. The Soul donated 726 tickets to local charities at each of the team's 2004 home games. In addition, Soul players and dance team members made 68 community appearances during the season.
Season tickets for the Philadelphia Soul's sophomore season are on sale now. For more information on season tickets call 1-888-PHIL-AFL or visit www.philadelphiasoul.com. The Soul led the Arena Football League in attendance averaging over 16,866 fans per home game, including six sellouts.
