7-7-7...Let's Go to Vegas

July 22, 2016 - The 2016 Texas League second half pennant race isn't yet to its midway point, so this isn't intended to "put the baseball cart before the horse." It is worth noting, however, that with both the RockHounds and Frisco posting come from behind wins on Thursday night, the 'Hounds' now lead each of their three South Division rivals (the RoughRiders, Corpus Christi and San Antonio) by seven games. Trailing, 2-0, after seven innings, the RockHounds scored four runs in the eighth, all against San Ant... Full Story

The RockHounds loaded the bases with no outs in the last of the first on a pair of walks (Brett Vertigan and J.P. Sportman) and a single (Beau Taylor). Tyler Marincov then ripped a two-run double into the ... Full Story

July 19, 2016 - A timely substitution and seven shutout innings from a left-hander coming back from Tommy John surgery helped Corpus Christi defeat the RockHounds, 3-2 on Monday night at Security Bank Ballpark. Kent Emanuel tossed seven shutout innings to lead the Hooks, who built an early 2-0 lead before adding what would be the game-winning run in the eighth, to back Emanuel's outstanding effort. J.D. Davis singled in the second for Corpus Christi, the first of his three hits on the night, and scored on... Full Story
