York Defeats Cape Fear in Week 4 Action in the AIF

YORK, Pa Friday April 18th, 2014 -- On a night when the hometown fans were treated to an EyeBlack (www.EyeBlack.com) give away night and they were not disappointed as The York Capitals defeated the first-place Cape Fear Heroes 67-52 at the York Ice Arena Friday night in week four action in the American Indoor Football (AIF). The victory was the first for the Capitals who were led by Quarterback Shawn Lloyd.

"Shawn and Julius Gregory (WR) had such a phenomenal chemistry going" States Matt Steeple York Capitals Head Coach, "To hook up on three-straight second half TD's was the difference for us".

The Capitals had a tipped pass TD in the end zone made by Jay Jackson giving the Capitals the lead 39-30 going into half-time. The Lloyd to Gregory connection allowed the Capitals the build a 67-44 lead in the second half.

Next up for the Cape Fear Heroes (3-1), they travel to Cleveland Oh, to take on the Patriots (2-1) on Saturday April 26th in a match-up for first place in the AIF. The Capitals (1-2) have a bye week and next play Saturday May 3rd against the Baltimore Mariners.
