September 10, 2012 - International League (IL1)
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees News Release
Members of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees front office recently stopped by the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter to drop off a donation check of $190 raised from "Casual Friday" funds. Each Friday, front office staff members are able to dress casually, though at a $5 price that benefits a non-profit organization chosen by a staff member each month. Griffin Pond Animal Shelter was chosen by Community Relations Manager Ryan Beardsley as the August charity. Pictured are President and General Manager Rob Crain, SWB Yankees mascot CHAMP, and Community Relations Manager Ryan Beardsley. Griffin Pond Animal Shelter associates said the donation would be put immediately into the organization's Emergency Veterinarian fund.
