In case you didn't know:
The Kalamazoo Xplosion is an arena football team who plays it's games at the beautiful and historic Wings Stadium. In the team's first year of existence, the Xplosion went 10-2 in the regular season, earning a bye in the first-round of the CIFL playoffs. In the second-round, the Chicago Slaughter found out just how hard it is to win at Wings Stadium, falling 51-40 to the hands of a tenacious Kalamazoo defense who went 7-0 on their home turf. The men of yellow and black were one game shy of the CIFL Championship Game, then suffered a heartbreaking eight point loss in the Great Lakes Championship Game against the Michigan Pirates, who at the time were riding a 24-game win streak. With tryouts being held to find the best talent in Michigan and beyond, and a great core group of players returning, the Xplosion should be the team to beat in 2008.
