Prior to its inaugural draft which began on Tuesday, the XFL announced initial quarterback assignments for each of the league's eight teams:
- Dallas Renegades: Landry Jones
- DC Defenders: Cardale Jones
- Houston Roughnecks: Philip Walker
- Los Angeles Wildcats: Luis Perez
- New York Guardians: Matt McGloin
- St. Louis BattleHawks: Jordan Ta'amu
- Seattle Dragons: Brandon Silvers
- Tampa Bay Vipers: Aaron Murray.
Here are the eight quarterbacks, by the numbers:
1 - Cardale Jones won a National Championship in 2015 with Ohio State.
1 - Luis Perez won a Division II title in 2017 with Texas A&M Commerce.
3 - Touchdown passes for Aaron Murray with the Alliance of American Football's Atlanta Legends.
3 - Passers who also played with Alliance of American Football teams: Aaron Murray with Atlanta Legends, Brandon Silvers with the Memphis Express and Luis Perez with the Birmingham Iron.
4 - Touchdown passes for Brandon Silvers with the AAF Memphis Express.
