Prior to its inaugural draft which began on Tuesday, the XFL announced initial quarterback assignments for each of the league's eight teams:

  • Dallas Renegades: Landry Jones

  • DC Defenders: Cardale Jones

  • Houston Roughnecks: Philip Walker

  • Los Angeles Wildcats: Luis Perez

  • New York Guardians: Matt McGloin

  • St. Louis BattleHawks: Jordan Ta'amu

  • Seattle Dragons: Brandon Silvers

  • Tampa Bay Vipers: Aaron Murray.

Here are the eight quarterbacks, by the numbers:

1 - Cardale Jones won a National Championship in 2015 with Ohio State.

1 - Luis Perez won a Division II title in 2017 with Texas A&M Commerce.

3 - Touchdown passes for Aaron Murray with the Alliance of American Football's Atlanta Legends.

3 - Passers who also played with Alliance of American Football teams: Aaron Murray with Atlanta Legends, Brandon Silvers with the Memphis Express and Luis Perez with the Birmingham Iron.

4 - Touchdown passes for Brandon Silvers with the AAF Memphis Express.

5 - Touchdown passes for Luis Perez with the AAF Birmingham Iron.

8 - Career NFL touchdown passes for Landry Jones.

11 - Career NFL touchdown passes for Matt McGloin.

15 - Career touchdown passes for Cardale Jones at Ohio State.

26 - Average age of the quarterbacks. Landry Jones is the oldest at 30, while Jordan Ta'amu is the youngest at 21.

30 - Career touchdown passes for Jordan Ta'amu at Ole Miss.

46 - Career touchdown passes at Penn State for Matt McGloin.

71 - Career touchdown passes for Brandon Silvers at Troy.

74 - Career touchdown passes for Philip Walker at Temple.

78 - Career touchdown passes for Luis Perez at Texas A&M Commerce.

115 - Landry Jones was taken in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, 115th overall.

121 - Career touchdown passes for Aaron Murray at Georgia.

123 - Career touchdown passes for Landry Jones at Oklahoma.

139 - Cardale Jones was taken in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, 139th overall.
