WPS All-Star Game Vote: Hope Solo Leads Fan Vote with One Week Remaining

San Francisco, CA (July 27, 2009) - With just two weeks left in the WPS Regular Season, the WPS All-Star Game votes are coming in fast. The fan vote closes on July 31 at 8pm ET/5pm PT, so there's still time for fans to select their favorite WPS star to play in the inaugural WPS All-Star Game when the WPS All-Stars take on Swedish champion Umea IK at The Anheuser-Busch Soccer Park in Fenton, MO, on Sunday, August 30 with live coverage on Fox Soccer Channel and select Fox Sports Nets beginning at 5pm Eastern (check local listings).
Below are the leading vote-getters from the online fan vote by position with one week left to cast online ballots. A reminder that the fan vote counts for 25% of the overall vote with players, coaches and media counting for the remaining 75%, weighted at 25% each. The players listed above the line are who the fans currently have voted for as their Starting XI.
