San Francisco, CA (August 10, 2011) - Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) and Karackter Labs (Karackter) proudly announce their partnership and the launch of the WPS Karackter application, a 3-D avatar that keeps WPS fans up-to-date with the league's Extraordinary Heroes and their favorite social media programs (Facebook and Twitter) in a fun and engaging way. The WPS Karackter delivers real-time updates on WPS teams, players and game stats, while allowing users to interact with their own Facebook and Twitter friends via the 3-D avatar application. WPS fans can be the first to test the 3D avatar by downloading a beta version of the WPS Karackter at www.womensprosoccer.com/karackter.

"We are proud to partner with Karackter for the beta testing of their new 3D avatar," said WPS CEO Anne-Marie Eileraas. "So many of our teams, players, fans and supporters are active on social media, and Karackter is a fun and innovative way to stay engaged with WPS."

"We are very excited to have WPS as our launch partner", said Steve Wandler Co-Founder and CEO of Karackter. "Their forward thinking social media strategy is a perfect fit for us. We believe Karackter represents the future of social media experiences - highly interactive and fun!"

The WPS Karackter partnership provides users a chance to interact with their favorite social outlets, Facebook and Twitter, from a single interface in an experience that is fun and engaging. The WPS avatar provides league information, from game schedules to team and player standings. Whether sharing a story about their favorite WPS player or tweeting their status to the world, Karackter allows users to access the core Facebook and Twitter functionalities right from their desktop, in a real-time environment without the use of a web browser or email. Users can update their status on each platform separately or update both simultaneously. Karackter also has a security component that notifies users of any red card worthy malicious activity such as bad links, corrupt apps, SPAM, and strong language.
