The first set of tryouts was held Saturday, January 10th in Palmdale, CA. "The athleticism in the group that came out was super!" exclaims Kelli Harris, Antelope Valley GM. "There is not one girl in the bunch that wouldn't have made the team. We had one girl that ran a 5.15 in the 40, and a couple others that were only a few milliseconds behind. Three girls in the bunch had a time under 5.5. The Coaches were truly overwhelmed by the athleticism and the determination in the girls we got out there," adds Harris. Several players drove over 75 miles to attend the first round of tryouts.
