Linn spent the majority of the 2004 season with the Odessa Roughnecks of the Intense Football League (IFL). He started 14 games for the team amassing 3,063 passing yards, 72 passing touchdowns, and seven rushing touchdowns. Linn was a league all-star and Odessa's MVP for the season.
