
Wolves name 20 to inaugural dance team

MANCHESTER, N.H. (February 21, 2004) - The Manchester Wolves held the final audition for their dance team today at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua where a crowd of more than 300 gathered to watch the girls show off their skills. The event was a huge success as the finalists entertained the audience throughout the day with a number of kicks, splits and choreographed routines.
After the final numbers were added up, twenty girls were selected to be a part of the Wolves inaugural dance team. The lucky 20 are as follows:

"I'd like to commend all the girls who participated today because they put on a tremendous show for the fans who came out to watch them perform," said Wolves General Manager Angelo Mazzella. "They handled themselves like true professionals. I know they'll do a great job representing our team this season."
The tryout was conducted by Wolves dance team choreographer and area native Heidi Sullivan-Laroche. Laroche is the owner of Dance Visions Network in Manchester and a former New England Patriots cheerleader. Patty Vilela, another former Patriots cheerleader and Wolves dance coordinator, also assisted with the audition.
The new squad will perform at every Wolves home game and also be available for appearances upon request.

The Wolves kick off their inaugural season in New Hampshire on Saturday, April 10 against the Quad City Steamwheelers at the Verizon Wireless Arena. That night will truly be historic as the Manchester Wolves host the first arena football game ever played at the Verizon Wireless Arena. All eight Wolves home games start at 7:30 PM.
