Winston-Salem Added to AIF

Winston Wildcats News Release


Winston-Salem NC (June 29th, 2015) - Today the AIF has announced that they have come to terms with the Winston Wildcats. The team will play its home games at to play at the "Annex" located adjacent to Lawrence Joel Coliseum in Winston Salem, NC. and begin play in the upcoming 2016 indoor season.

Stated John Morris, CEO-AIF "Today is another great announcement for the AIF. We are cementing our footprint in the south." Morris goes on to say, "We feel that with this addition and with the previously announced teams that the AIF blueprint for league success is further cemented."

"I am proud to bring our organization into the AIF." Said Mr. Hinton CEO of Sports Xtras, "We will play a major role in the community and will lead the way for indoor football in this region."

Winston-Salem is a city in and the county seat of Forsyth, North Carolina. With a 2015 estimated population of 235,527, it is the second largest municipality in the Piedmont Triad region and the fifth largest city in the state. Winston-Salem is called the "Twin City" for its dual heritage and "City of the Arts and Innovation" for its dedication to fine arts and theater and technological research.

The AIF is also in talks with another North Carolina team that will soon be announced.
