Wings Set Open Tryout for 2011-2012 Squad

The Wichita Wings Indoor Pro Soccer team and Head Coach LeBaron Hollimon will be holding open tryouts for an opportunity to be a member of the 2011-2012 team on Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31. The tryout will take place at Hartman Arena in Park City, KS. Registration and warm-up will begin Saturday at 8:00 am with the tryout starting at 9:00 am. Participants are not guaranteed an invitation to return on Sunday. Finalist will be given a chance to train with the Wichita Wings first team.
Those wanting to tryout can pre-register by calling the Wings office at 316-440-5044. Players can also register on July 30th at Hartman Arena. There is a non-refundable tryout fee of $100 and will only be accepted with cash or money order.
Players will be evaluated based on ball handling, fitness level, agility, and various position specific drills. Indoor/turf shoes are required of all players trying out.
Players are encouraged to call the Wings office at 316-440-5044 for more information. Players needing hotel accommodations are also encouraged to call the Wings office for recommendations. However, tryout participants will pay for ALL airfare, hotel, food and transportation. The Wichita Wings will not help with visas into the United States.
The Wings will open training camp in mid-October with the first game sometimein November. Season tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased by calling Jeremy at the Hartman Arena Box Office at 316-744-8880.
