Wildcats Fall in Overtime

The Wildcats played two big games at home over the weekend. On Friday night the Cats were tied at the end of regulation with the Texarkana Bandits, but fell in overtime 4-3. They hosted the Texas Tornado on Saturday night and lost 7-3.

The Cats played hard on Friday against the Bandits, but lost the game in overtime. Texarkana jumped on the Wildcats early as they scored the only goal in the first period. The Cats had an answer in the second period as Chad Costello scored to tie the game 1-1. His goal was assisted by Kyle Kraemer and Kevin Huck. Texarkana scored the following goal, but with less than 2 minutes remaining in the second period Kyle Kraemer tied the game with a goal that was assisted by Peter Zamkochyan. The Cats took the lead two minutes into the third period on a goal by Andy Roberts. The goal was assisted by Peter Zamkochyan and Skylur Jameson. The Cats could not hold the lead as the Bandits tied the game late in the third period. The game then went into overtime where the Bandits won.

On Saturday The Wildcats hosted the Texas Tornado. The Tornado defeated the Cats 7-3. Dan DiLeo suffered his first loss as a Wildcat in the game. Kyle Kraemer scored 2 goals in the loss. Andy Roberts scored the remaining goal for the Cats. Kevin Huck and Chad Costello each netted 2 assists on the game, and Skylur Jameson and Chris Ochoa had 1 assist.

The Cats earned only 1 point over the weekend and now sit 5 points out of fourth place and a spot in the playoffs. The Cats play one home game next weekend on Sunday at 3:00pm vs. the Central Texas Marshals. Come out and support your Wildcats!
