
Wildcats Begin Playoff Series With Tornado

The Wildcats began their playoff series with the Texas Tornado by playing the first two games in Frisco. Despite their efforts the Cats fell in both games.
On Friday night the Cats were tied with the Tornado 5-5 after two periods of play, but gave up four goals in the third period and fell 9-5. Niklas Flodin and Dan Medenwaldt each scored two goals for the Wildcats and Nick Klaren scored one goal and added one assist. Chris Ochoa had two assists in the game, while Peter Zamkochyan, Andy Roberts, Drew Walters, and Jack Wolgemuth each had one assist.
The Cats got on the board first on Saturday night when Skylur Jameson found the back of the net on an unassisted goal. The Tornado scored the next three goals before Jameson added his second unassisted goal. The score after one period was 3-2 Tornado. The Wildcats Derek Hansberry tied the score with a goal early in the second period the goal was assisted by Jameson. Texas then went up two goals, and after two periods the score was 5-3 Texas. The Wildcats went on a run and scored three straight goals in the second period. Chad Costello scored the first two goals and Hansberry scored the third goal. Costello's first goal was unassisted, and the second was assisted by Kevin Huck and Jack Wolgemuth. Hansberry's goal was assisted by Costello and Jeremy Dalpe. While the Wildcats were up 6-5 midway through the third period, they could not hold off the Tornado and fell 8-6.
The Wildcats return to Wichita Falls to play the Tornado in a must win game on Friday, April 8th at 7:00pm. The Wildcats are down two games in a five game series, and if they lose they will be eliminated. The Cats will need all the support they can get from Wichita Falls, so come out and help the Wildcats beat the Tornado!
