Wichita Force Hosts Battle of the Bands to Benefit Kansas Schools

WICHITA, KS - The Wichita Force, Wichita's professional indoor football team, will hold a competition throughout the 2019 arena football season; giving Kansas pep bands a chance to win up to $4,000 for their school's program.
Battle of the Bands Winners receive a gift to the School's Band Department.
Grand Prize: $4,000
First Runner-Up: $1,000
The competitions are open to Kansas high school and middle school bands. Winners will be determined by crowd noise, officially measured by digital decibel meter. At the first four home games of the 2019 season, two bands will compete per game. The winner of each preliminary competition will move on to the semi-finals held during the game on Sunday, June 9. The final two bands will faceoff during the last regular-season home game on Saturday, June 15, for the grand prize.
Interested Directors should register for a chance to compete at wichitaforce.com or by calling the Force office at 316-425-1965. The deadline for registration is Thursday, February 14, 2019. Registration is free, but participation is limited. A drawing for participation in the competition will take place Friday, February 15.
