Whitecaps release pre-season schedule

The Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today the 2007 men's pre-season schedule. The United Soccer Leagues (USL) First Division champions will kick off their seven game pre-season against the Fraser Valley Soccer League (FVSL) All-Stars on Tuesday, March 27 at Newton Athletic Park located on 128th Street, Surrey, B.C.
"We are looking forward to a full slate of games leading up to the April 21st Home Opener versus the Seattle Sounders," said Whitecaps men's head coach Bob Lilley. "In the past the games versus the local universities and all-star teams have proven to be very valuable in preparing us for the upcoming season. We are also excited about the opportunity to play against two new opponents this year in the University of Washington and Portland Timbers."

The Whitecaps pre-season games are part of the four-week training camp which is set to open on Saturday, March 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Simon Fraser University.
Vancouver's regular season kicks off on Saturday, April 21 versus the Seattle Sounders.
