Whitecaps announce preseason schedule

Vancouver Whitecaps Director of Soccer Operations Bob Lenarduzzi and head coach Bob Lilley announced the 2006 Men's pre-season schedule. The Whitecaps will play a series of games across British Columbia including stops in Surrey, Langley, Vancouver, Tsawwassen, Victoria, and Chilliwack.

"The pre-season will allow us to continue to promote soccer throughout British Columbia and at the same time prepare us for the upcoming season with a good balance of teams from the local universities and elite men's leagues," said Lilley. "In addition, the final game against Seattle will act as a great tune-up to our regular season home opener on April 22 versus Portland."

The Whitecaps will play the Fraser Valley Soccer League (FVSL) All-Stars, Trinity Western University (TWU) Men's Team, University of British Columbia (UBC) Men's Team, Vancouver Metro Soccer League (VMSL) All-Stars, University of Victoria (UVic) Men's Team and the Seattle Sounders of the USL First Division.
