A.J. Achter pitched for the Paints in 2009 and was named to the Prospect League All-Star Team.  He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2010.

The last three years, he has been playing for the Twins' Triple-A team in Rochester. Last year, he was called up by the Twins in September, tossed 11 innings and had an ERA of 3.27.

He was just called up again after a very impressive summer at Rochester. He has hurled 44.1 innings, while posting a 4-2 record and recording 14 saves. He has 45 strikeout and a lowly 2.82 ERA.

In three seasons at the Triple-A level, he owns an overall 9-8 record with a 2.63 ERA in 140.1 innings.
