Philadelphia Rebels News Release
Home stand Versus Johnstown
Last weekend saw the Rebels storm into Johnstown and take two games in what were two hard fought battles. Those two wins helped the Rebels secure home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs - something that will absolutely play a huge role in their run, as the Rebels has have much success in Aston this season. Dom Garcia proved to be a standout star for the Rebels last weekend, potting three goals in the two games against Johnstown. This weekend Johnstown will come to Aston for a weekend series and they will hope to get vengeance for last weekend.
Heading Towards the Playoffs
Although the Rebels have secured home ice advantage for the playoffs, they cannot afford to take this weekend off. It is undoubtedly plausible that the Rebels may face the Tomahawks in the first round of the playoffs, and another sweep this weekend could help the Rebels get inside the Tomahawks heads moving towards the post-season. Going back to last week's weekend preview, not much has changed in terms of the keys to these two upcoming games. The Rebels will be looking to playing a tight, disciplined game. It will be important for the Rebels to not let off the gas and give the Tomahawks all that they have this weekend in case the two teams are to meet again in the coming weeks.
