FRIDAY'S GAMES

Detroit 49, CAROLINA 44 (Attendance 8,922): Fury quarterback ANDY KELLY passed for 290 yards and six touchdowns – including a scoring strike to MARCUS NASH with less four seconds remaining – to lead Detroit (2-1) past the Cobras (0-3).

BUFFALO 49, Arizona 45 (Attendance 5,067): A one-yard scoring run by Destroyers' ANTHONY HICKS with 30 seconds left in the game proved enough for Buffalo (2-1) to secure a win over the Rattlers (1-2).

SUNDAY'S GAMES

ORLANDO 50, Dallas 47 (Attendance 11,982): Game MVP JAY GRUDEN threw five touchdown passes – including a pair apiece to THABITI DAVIS and CORY FLEMING – as the Predators (3-0) handed the Desperados (2-1) their first loss this season.

GEORGIA 51, San Jose 49 (Attendance 11,200): Force quarterback JAMES BROWN connected on an 11-yard pass to DARRYL HAMMOND as time expired for the winning score against defending ArenaBowl champion San Jose (1-2).

INDIANA 28, Chicago 23 (Attendance 12,032): Indiana's DONNIE CALDWELL intercepted and returned a CHAD SALISBURY pass 21 yards for a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter to continue the Firebirds' (3-0) winning streak with a victory over division rival Chicago (0-3).

Los Angeles 59, COLORADO 53 OT (Attendance 17,417): TONY GRAZIANI threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to GREG HOPKINS in overtime to give the Avengers (3-0) the victory over the expansion-Crush (0-3) on Sunday afternoon before a sellout crowd at Pepsi Center.

GRAND RAPIDS 66, New York 63 (Attendance 10,594): With the score tied and no time left on the clock, Grand Rapids' BRIAN GOWINS – who miss four extra point attempts earlier in the game – drilled a 47-yard game-wining field goal through the uprights as the Rampage (3-0) delivered the Dragons (1-2) their second consecutive loss.
