Week One Injury Report

April 2, 2003 - National Football League Europa (NFLE) News Release


THE NFL Europe League's eleventh season kicks off this weekend with the two-time World Bowl champion Berlin Thunder beginning the campaign where they hope to end it in June - Hampden Park, Glasgow, site of World Bowl XI. Berlin (0-0) faces the Scottish Claymores (0-0) on Sunday April 6.

Prior to that meeting, Rhein Fire (0-0) will begin life in the stunning 62,000-seat Arena AufSchalke in Gelsenkirchen on Saturday April 5, where they will meet the Amsterdam Admirals (0-0) on opening day for the third year in a row.

Frankfurt Galaxy (0-0) will aim for another quick start to the season when they face the F.C. Barcelona Dragons (0-0) at the Waldstadion on Saturday. The Galaxy opened the 2002 campaign with four straight wins before losing four of their last six to miss a World Bowl berth.

Injury categories are as follows:
Out - Definitely will not play
Doubtful - 75 percent chance will not play
Questionable - 50/50 chance of playing
Probable - Virtual certainty of playing
