The Toledo Spitfire, members of the National Women's Football Association, are pleased to announce that they will be broadcasting their games on the internet and TV.
Games will be shown by tape delay the day after the game. Games to be broadcast on Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN). Please check your TV listings for the time. This is Toledo's all sports network for all local sports.
"This will be great for the team and the league. To be able to showcase the talent on the field and women playing real football is wonderful and we think by having the games broadcast, the Spitfire and the league will attract many new fans," states NWFA VP, Debby Lening. The National Women's Football Association is the largest league in the world for women's tackle football, with 37 teams in 23 states. The league starts its fourth season in April and is looking forward to increasing its fan base and national exposure. Last year, more than 250,000 fans attended games around the country. The 2004 World Women's Football Championship Game will be held in Louisville, KY in the 68 million dollar Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
