LAS VEGAS - The Arena Football League has announced that Washington Valor DB Tracy Belton has been named the Al Lucas Hero Jason Foundation Award Winner.

The Al Lucas Hero Jason Foundation Award is presented annually to the player who makes the most significant contribution to both his community and the game of Arena Football. The award was created in honor of Al Lucas, the late Los Angeles Avengers lineman to who believed in both giving back to his community and growing the AFL. The Jason Foundation is dedicated to the prevention of youth suicide through education and awareness programs.

Belton (6'0, 185, UMass) is consistently active in all Valor community initiatives in addition to his on-field and locker room leadership. He has spent time with children at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in conjunction with the MSE Foundation and Hope for Henry, sharing Valor gear, playing games, and taking photos. Belton also visited the families of wounded veterans at the Fisher House, sharing stories and making time for photos. His infectious smile and charisma is highlighted in every setting when out in the community. On the field, Belton leads the Valor defense with 31 total tackles, one tackle for-a-loss, six pass breakups, and one forced fumble during the regular season.
