
Washington Raptors Name New Head Coach

Kelso, WA. The ABA Washington Raptors professional basketball team that begins play in December today announced that Lewis Lofton has been named Coach and will also play for the team. The 1991 Centralia High School graduate and former Weber State University standout has been playing professional basketball in Poland and achieved:
*2006/2007 MTS Basket Kwidzyn (Poland)
*2006/2007 Poland All Around MVP, League Forward MVP and American MVP Awards.
Lewis is the Founder of the Utah Sports Academy, www.utahsportsacademy.org and is currently running EUROBASKET'S Summer League (ESL) being held July 24th-26th at the Utah Sports Academy.
"We are very pleased to have Lewis Lofton aboard," stated Washington Raptors owner Regina Joseph. "Lewis has played overseas and has a vast knowledge of basketball that will bring many strong and talented players to our team."
"As the head coach, Lewis still wants to play for the fans at our home games," added Raptors President/GM Tim Joseph. "As a local favorite he expects a great fan support for the upcoming season."
Tim Joseph will serve as the Assistant Coach, coaching at the home games, so that Lewis can live his dream of playing for his hometown fans once again. Centralia High School's legendary coach, Mr. Ron Brown, has nothing but high praises concerning Lewis.
